OTANG is one of the youngest Camer artist who gained fame after her freestyle video “Game Changer” went viral online. There is much attention on this secondary school kid more than some top names in the music industry.
The little girl just announce the release of her first EP tittled “Victims” which will be available soon. Her label Magic Music Money published a press release fixing the price of the tracks but this information was not well receive by some fans of the 11 years old.
According to the press release, 50% of the revenue optained from the sales of the EP will go to Charity especially children suffring from the effect of the Anglophone crisis. This move was appreciated by many but when it came to the monetary part, some started complaining.
The entire EP which is made up of five songs cost 10000frs.
Three songs will cost 5000frs while a song will cost 2000frs.
Disgruntled fans posted their worries on Facebook throwing stones on her management. The question is, did her management take the right decision set up the price at 2k per track considering the fact that most artists in Cameroon sell their EPs/Albums at a thousand frs cfa?
To every principle, there is a counter principle. Many people are ready to support the game changer by purchasing the EP when it will be available for sale.
